A: If your present hosting provider can no longer meet the requirements of your site, or if you go through constant downtime, or if you are forced to wait for hours for the client care team to get back to you, it might be a smart idea to change your web hosting provider, i.e. to move all the files for your sites together with your databases from your present provider to your new provider. At 3G Tech Hosting, we are aware that this can often be difficult & time–consuming. That is why we will do all that for you at no cost!Our highly experienced technical staff will move your web site content from your present web hosting provider to us. Our techs have got lots of experience with web site migration and can handle everything – from an ordinary WordPress–driven blog or Joomla^™–driven site, to a very elaborate, custom–built web app.

A: There are plenty of variables to take into consideration – the overall amount of web files, the physical size of the database, the complexity of the website itself and the current workload of our website migration experts, etc. Nonetheless, we do our best to implement all web site migrations within a 48–hour time frame. Smaller sites are migrated much faster – typically in less than 24 hours.

A: We do not gather any personal details. We’ll need, however, the login information for your old web hosting account along with the name of the website that you’d like to transfer.

A: Before we can begin the transfer of your account, you must first open an account with us. Opening an account with us requires that you to disclose essentially the same details you have given to your previous web hosting provider. We’ve also got a very rigid Privacy Policy, which specifies how personal data is tackled.

A: Your website will work just like it did before with your former hosting provider. After we have completed the migration, your site will be configured to work on our platform and we’ll alert you to preview it. If everything is functioning properly, all you will have to do is modify the name server records associated with your domain. Your web site will be migrated to us with no downtime.

A: While we migrate your web content, your web hosting provider will not be aware of the migration at all. We will not touch base with them in any way.

A: Yup. We support all common Linux–based hosting platforms. We do not support Windows–powered web hosting platforms, as we do not provide Windows web hosting solutions ourselves.Additionally, we do not support proprietary website building and administration tools such as Wix, BaseKit, Jimdo, Website Tonight, Four Square, Mr Site, etc.
