Varnish in Shared Hosting
In case you host your sites in a shared hosting account with our company, you will be able to activate Varnish with a couple of clicks from your Control Panel. The content caching platform is offered as an upgrade with all our packages and you can select the number of the websites that will use it and the total amount of system memory that will be used for the cached content. The two features that can be upgraded in the Upgrades section of the Control Panel are the amount of memory and the number of instances and they aren’t linked directly to each other, so you can choose if you want plenty of memory for a single large-scale website or less memory for multiple smaller ones. You can use the full potential of Varnish in case the sites use a dedicated IP. With the Control Panel, you can swiftly start/restart/discontinue an instance, clear the cached content independently for each website which employs the Varnish platform or view an elaborate log file.
Varnish in Semi-dedicated Servers
The Varnish platform is part of the basic set of services that you’ll get in case you choose to host your Internet sites in a semi-dedicated server account. You can activate it for any of your Internet sites via our advanced Hepsia Control Panel. The default system memory that the Varnish caching platform can use to cache data is 64 MB, but if you decide that you want more, you can upgrade this amount from the Upgrades section of the Control Panel. You can also upgrade the Varnish instances, in other words – the number of the sites that can use this caching platform simultaneously. Since these two features are not tied to each other, you can use a few sites with the default amount of memory or you can add more memory in increments of 32 MB and use all of it for a single Internet site. The Varnish platform performs best if you allocate a dedicated IP address to the sites that utilize its power. Hepsia will provide you with a simple way of rebooting any instance. In addition, you’ll be able to delete the cached contents with only one click of the mouse.
Varnish in VPS Servers
The Varnish platform comes by default with all VPS servers that we’re offering on the condition that the Virtual Private Server is ordered with the Hepsia Control Panel, so you can optimize the performance of your sites with just a couple of clicks. The more powerful the package, the more memory will be available to Varnish, but even with a lower-end package, the platform will be able to utilize several hundred megabytes, so even if you have several different Internet sites, you’ll notice a considerable reduction in the server load and a tremendously better page load speed. The Varnish platform will need to work for a little while as the visitors browse the website and as soon as the website content has been cached, you will see the result. One of the pros of employing Varnish is that a lower-end and less pricey plan will do the exact same job as a more costly one without the platform, so not only will your Internet sites perform much better, but you will also save a certain amount of money.
Varnish in Dedicated Servers
If you order a dedicated server with the Hepsia Control Panel, you’ll get the Varnish platform at no extra cost and you’ll exert full control over it through an amazingly user-friendly GUI – you will be able to start, to deactivate or to restart an instance, to see an in-depth system log, to clear the cached content associated with any site and much more. Varnish will have several GB of virtual memory at its disposal, so even if you’ve got large-sized Internet sites with multiple visitors, you’ll notice the significantly better web page load speeds and the less load on the machine. This will become a fact soon after you start using the Varnish platform, as it will require a certain amount of time to cache the content that people request. You can get the most out of the platform’s potential if the sites that are using it also use a dedicated IP, but owing to the fact that your server includes a few IPs by default, you will not have to pay anything on top of your monthly fee for the machine itself.
