URL redirection allows you to redirect site visitors from one site to another. In contrast to forwarding a domain address by parking it when the domain is unusable, a URL forwarding is possible only when the domain name is hosted, and thus you'll still have the ability to create entirely functional subdomains and email addresses or even to have content for the domain name in question, though it won't be accessible directly. If you currently have a site, for instance, but you want to launch one or several localized Internet sites for different towns or countries, you will be able to work on them without any problem. When a website visitor opens any one of the new domain names, however, they shall be redirected to the existing website. In this way, you won't miss customers while developing the localized sites.

URL Redirector in Shared Hosting

When you host your sites with our company and you have a shared hosting package deal, you will be able to use our URL redirection tool to forward the website visitors from any domain address and subdomain, or from a subfolder under any of them, to an alternative Internet address. This process takes a number of basic steps via an intuitive interface, so you could set up a redirection even in case you have no previous experience. You'll simply need to select a domain or a subdomain through a drop-down list, to select the folder where the redirection shall be created (the root folder or a subfolder), and then to type in the URL where the site visitors should be redirected to. For more experienced users, there are also options to select the redirection type (permanent or temporary) and the method (direct or match). Any forwarding you set up could be deactivated from the same section of the CP, in the event you do not require it anymore.

URL Redirector in Semi-dedicated Servers

Our semi-dedicated server plans include a very useful tool that will supply you with an automated and uncomplicated way to forward any one of your domains to another URL. While this is usually done by setting up a special file within the domain folder and by inputting specific content in it, our tool will permit you to select a domain/subdomain from a drop-down list and to type in the needed remote web address. Our system will do the rest and the forwarding will be enabled in seconds. If you're more tech-savvy, you can choose a number of more advanced options as well, most notably the redirection method (direct, match) and the redirection type (temporary, permanent). You can also redirect a certain folder rather than the root domain. You will be able to modify these settings whenever you want, and to delete an active redirection from the same exact section where you have created it to start with.
