Multiple OS in VPS Servers
We provide three different Linux releases for the Operating System of our VPS servers - Debian, CentOS and Ubuntu. These are some of the most stable and reliable OSs available on the market and we supply all 3 instead of only one as we realize that you may want to install some software with specific requirements for the Operating System it will run on. The latter is due to the fact that each of the three Operating Systems has a vast support community behind it and there are different software programs you could install on the hosting server. Your OS selection will also determine what hosting Control Panel can be set up on the VPS if you would like to use one and for this reason we offer multiple Control Panels as well. In case you decide that you need some other OS, our technical support can quickly wipe the existing one and set up the one that you want. We also offer an optional service to have the OS on your VPS updated weekly.
Multiple OS in Dedicated Servers
We offer three Operating Systems with our dedicated server plans - CentOS, Ubuntu and Debian. They are all different Linux distributions and we offer them not only because they're completely free and they will not increase the price of your new web hosting server, but also because they are exceptionally stable and secure. Each one of them is supported by a large community of web developers, so you will be able to choose from thousands of software packages that you can install on your server if the application that you would like to work with has specific requirements. The Operating System will also determine what hosting Control Panel you can use because the Control Panels that we offer run on specific OSs only and because we would like to give you as much adaptability as possible, we offer a couple of OSs and multiple Control Panels. In case you choose a server with a given OS, we can change it upon request in the event that it turns out that you need alternative one. We can also keep your OS updated on a weekly basis as a part of the additional Managed Services upgrade.
