A catch-all email mailbox receives emails sent to non-existent addresses under the same domain name. For instance, a message sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can get emails from colleagues or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Just one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at some point you may begin receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be sent to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

If you host a domain on our cloud web hosting platform and you’ve got a shared hosting account, you will be able to enable the catch-all functionality for any mailbox that you create under the domain. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel comes with quite a few functions, but it’s stunningly easy to work with, so setting up a catch-all mailbox takes only a click of the mouse. All the email addresses that you have created will be shown in this section in alphabetical order and you’ll just need to click on the "Catch-all" button pertaining to the specific email address. Our system will notify you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain or if the one that you would like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either deactivate the latter feature or pick some other mailbox. Disabling the catch-all option is just as simple and takes one more mouse click on the very same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all functionality can be activated without any effort in case you have a semi-dedicated server account with our company. All the email addresses that you’ve created with the domain names hosted in your account will be listed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you will find a small button conveniently situated right next to each one of them. With just a mouse click, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choice as long as there isn't another mailbox under the same domain name with this option already activated and there isn't activated email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on a mailbox and enable this feature using the contextual menu that will come into sight. If any of the prerequisites for creating a catch-all mailbox is not met, our system will notify you, but will not disable or replace anything automatically.
